DSS Arrests Doctor Allegedly Supplying Drugs to Kwara Kidnapping Gangs

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a medical doctor alleged to be supplying drugs to kidnapping syndicates operating in parts of Kwara State.
The doctor was intercepted in the Jebba axis after intelligence reports linked him to the movement of medical supplies from Sokoto to criminal gangs hiding in forested areas of the state.
Security sources said the kidnappers have become increasingly desperate for medical attention, especially for gunshot wounds sustained during clashes with security operatives.
A senior security official, who confirmed the development, warned that health facilities near forest corridors may be targeted by injured bandits seeking treatment.
“So, we are advising improved security measures in health facilities in thickly forested areas which the kidnappers may target,” the official said.
